As small business owners and entrepreneurs, we constantly feel pressured to keep up. So, taking a step back is important and ensuring you’re maximizing your time and potential. Today’s digital world calls for a constant stream of quality content from all kinds of businesses. Content creation can be a full time job.
So, how can you create content to push out weekly without creating a whole new host of stressors? Keep reading for a quick tip guide on creating content in under ten minutes that can be used across all your verticals.
1. Identify a topic
Choose a topic you know you can talk about for five to ten minutes. This should be a topic you can easily talk about to a friend or colleague. The talking points should come easy. Talk about a problem your clients typically come to you with. Let the audience know how you resolve the problem through your services and create a 2nd problem. Here, you leave the audience wondering how to resolve the second problem.
2. Zoom with a friend
Ask a friend to record a zoom session with you to talk about your chosen topic. Your friend or colleague can ask you questions that can be edited out of the recording later or act as a sounding board to keep you from reading off a script. This is an easy way to make the recording seem less like a recording and more like a conversation.
3. Transcribe the video
When you’re done, transcribe the video, so you have a full-text version of the conversation. This transcription can serve as an outline or a full-blown blog post. You can expand or provide more detail from your video to create your written blog post.
4. Pull quotes and clips
Choose the most engaging thoughts and video clips and save them in a dedicated folder. The quotes can become written text posts on social media. They can also be your pillars for future content, networking, and speaking engagements. Use the video clips to increase engagement on platforms that reward video content like TikTok and Instagram.
5. Post on social media
Using whatever material you pull, create a variety of social media posts. This can range from a quote on Instagram to a video on Facebook—both will point a user to your blog or website.
